Billhead, invoice

Copper-engraved billhead with handwritten invoice issued by Todd and Lambden suppliers of cut glass, china, stone ware, Dutch tiles, India and English fans, and fine teas located at the sign of the rose, at the corner of Fleet Bridge. The billhead includes an engraving of the tradesman's sign of an open fan and a planted rose enclosed within a decorative cartouche. The handwritten invoice dated 22nd July 1756 refers to the supply of china and glassware including basins and cups and saucers to Mrs Hucks. Both the handwritten and engraved script is in English round hand.
