Printed Ephemera — 1775-1777
Willm Hussey
Copper-engraved trade card with a handwritten invoice on the reverse issued by the china and glass merchant William Hussey located at Coventry Street, Piccadilly. Details of the business printed within a decorative cartouche signed by the engraver William Darling note the merchant sells 'all sorts of china, glass and stoneware, Japan dressing boxes and India fans'. The invoice refers to the supply of tableware to the Honourable Lady Cotton between December 25th 1775 and May 10th 1776.
The engraver William Darling was active at Great Newport Street London between 1769 and 1799.
