Exercises for Javlin throwers at the Crystal Palace National Recreation Centre
These athletes are taking part in a Young Athlete Course and here are using javelins in their warm up exercises. The National Sports Centre, as it is now known, opened in Crystal Palace 1964. It was built by M J Gleeson at a cost of £2,300,000 and facilities included a 15,000 seater stadium, a running track and athletics field as well as a 50m swimming pool.
