Gelatin silver print, part of the Henry Grant photographs collection, from a group of images of London communities, 1982-1985. The image shows an individual stood outside the Mosque and Islamic Centre of Brent in Cricklewood. The building was originally a Christian Church but as the demographic of the area changed in the 1970s and in 1976 it was converted into a mosque.. The note on the reverse says, 'Brent Mosque. Mr A D Shaikh outside the converted church of now a mosque of which he is a trustee'.
