Gelatin silver print, part of the Henry Grant photographs collection. From a group of images of the Ackmar School for Deaf Children, -/6/1958. The image shows a child, wearing a hearing aid, being taught to count by a teacher. The typed caption attached on the reverse reads 'A name for everything. "one, two, three, four...." Learning to count and to say his numbers with the help of teacher and brightly-coloured wooden beads.'
