The image shows three children playing a game involving brick-building with wooden blocks accompanied by a teacher helping them. The typed captions attached on the reverse read 'In the nursery an exciting game of brick building and knocking down is in progress with the teacher carefully mouthing the appropriate words "Up" and "Fall down," "A name for everything. Here is Peter Malkin again - but he was only three years old when this picture was taken, and had just started at the Ackmar Road Special School. Teacher is helping with brick-building, and at the same time teaching them lip-reading of simple words associated with their actions. "Up" and "Fall down".
