Gelatin silver print, part of the Henry Grant photographs collection. From a group of images of the 'School for Handicapped Children', 24/9/1957. The image shows teachers and children in a classroom carrying out activities. Some of the children are in wheelchairs. The typed caption on the reverse reads 'At the New Franklin Delano Roosevelt LCC School for Physically Handicapped Children. "We're busy....".' The word handicapped is no longer used, as it is an offensive term.
