Photograph, gelatin silver print
Gelatin silver print, part of the Henry Grant photographs collection. From a group of images of Protest Marches, including the Teacher's Lobby of MP's at House of Commons over pay, no date.
The image shows crowds of individuals, holding banners, marching along in the streets. A policeman is walking alongside the marchers. The banners read 'Thomas Calton School. The teacher's fight for education is your fight for the future of your children,' 'Cuts! Cuts! Cut eccles!' and 'Teachers stand firm to resist attacks on education.' The handwritten captions on the reverse read 'Teachers Lobby 10.61. Passing Hamilton House' and 'Nr Euston. 1961.'
