Box, embroidered box

Small coffin-shaped box with rounded ends, perhaps for a brush. Fitted lid. Lined with pink plush and, where the lit fits, with marbled paper, which also covers the bse. The lid and sides are covered with cream satin and are decorated with three-dimensional motifs of moulded card covred withpink silk, outlined with couched silver-gilt cord and embellished with seed pearls. The ground is scattered with spangles secured with metal purl. On the lid a large exotic pomegranate is flanked by smaller flower heads. Round the sides, bunches of grapes, alternating with carnation sprigs, are linked by scrolling stems.
