British heroism
Small children's book published 1803 by John Wallis and T. Gillet of Ludgate Street, 64 pages. It is entitled 'British Heroism; or biographical memoirs of some of those commanders who have extended the glory of the British Nation to the remotest parts of the world', subtitled 'Lives of British Heroism'. It contains brief biographies of men such as Lord Nelson, who had distinguished himself in the wars with France, and Lord Clive of India, the military officer who was credited with securing India for the British crown.
