Theatrical souvenir plate engraved with a portrait of the actor Mr J.Halford in the role of Pantaloon, with cotton like materal used to decorate the character's beard. The portrait has been cut from a paper sheet and stuck onto cardboard handcoloured with background scenery. Such portraits would have been sold plain as theatrical souvenirs for colouring and tinselling at home.
