Greetings to my Love
Handfinished valentine's card comprising a top sheet of cream paper solid embossed with a floral border design surrounding a plain, oval shaped centre. Attached to the centre by paper hinges or springs is an oval cotton panel painted with the words 'Ever True' surrounded by an embossed, coloured paper wreath and an outer lace paper border. Applied over the panel is a cut out card figure of a cherub or angel and two red card hearts marked 'Greetings to my love' linked over the cherub's arm by a piece of red ribbon. The card is also decorated by an additional lace paper outer border attached to the under sheet by paper hinges. Applied to this border are garlands, top and bottom, formed from cotton leaves and flowers with a ruched blue cotton net.
