The Plough
James Reddall issued this trade token, worth a farthing at the Plough tavern in Bethlem (Old Bethlem neighbourhood, now Liverpool Street).
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 193; Obv inscription: IAMES.REDDALL.AT (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A plough (in field); Rev inscription: THE.PLOW.IN.BEDLAM (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.S.R. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
