Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3522; Obv inscription: IOHN.GRICE.IN (around field, in Roman capitals, in field) Device = A soap-box (in field); Rev inscription: LITTEL.WOOD.STREET (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.G.G. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
Wood Street and Little Wood Street, lay north of Addle Street, in the ward of Cripplegate Within (now Cripplegate Ward), and the Ward of Farringdon Within, in the City of London.
