Adze, tranchet adze, axehead, Thames pick
An Early Mesolithic flaked flint biface tranchet adze known as a Thames pick dating 10,000 to 7,000 BCE. Adze's are woodworking tools, which were invaluable during the Mesolithic. Wood was one of the most important materials, used to make shelters, boats, tools and fire.
