The Prince of Wales' Feathers
Hugh Lombard issued this trade token, worth a penny, for his business at the sign of the Prince of Wale's Crest, in Woolchurch Market.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3535; Obv inscription: HVGH.LVMBARD.AT.THE.IN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = The Prince of Wales crest and motto (in field); Rev inscription: WOOLCHV / RCH / MARKETT / 1670 / H.I.L. (in five lines of Roman capitals with triad of initials as bottom, in field).
