The Spread Eagle
Edward Pratt issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in New Crane, Wapping, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1991; Obv inscription: EDWARD.PRATT.AT (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A spread eagle (in field); Rev inscription: NEW.CRANE.WAPPING (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
