The Prince of Wales' Feathers
John Rolston issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business at Little Eastcheap (now Eastcheap).
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1732; Obv inscription: IOHN.ROLSTON.AT.YE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = The Prince of Wales feathers (in field); Rev inscription: LITTLE.EASTCHEAP (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.A.R. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).

Little Eastcheap, ran from Botolph Lane to Fish Street Hill (Rocque, 1746 cited in Henry A. Harben, A dictionary of London (London, 1918). The street seems to have been in existence between 1564-1831, at which time it was subsumed in to Eastcheap, see Henry A. Harben, A dictionary of London (London, 1918).
