A copper alloy radiate coin of Emperor Victorinus, ruler of the Romano-Gallic Empire, AD 269-271. The back of the coin depicts Sol, the Roman sun god. This coin was minted in the Gallic Empire, unidentified mint I, AD 269-271.
Obv: Draped, cuirassed and radiate bust of Victorinus, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP C VICTORIN[VS P] F AVG. Rev: Sol, advancing left, raising his right hand and holding a whip in his left hand. Rev inscription: INVICTVS, * in field (left).
