Post-Medieval — 14th-16th century
Corpus figure of Christ
Figure of Christ being crucified, but without the cross. One of the raised arms is missing. It is a very roughly moulded body with very little anatomical detail. The image of Christ crucified reminded people of their faith. Small crucifixes were kept in the home and larger ones displayed in public areas.
